Whether you are experiencing sadness due to a recent break-up or you're trying to better understand why you're feeling stuck in a rut, I'm ready to come alongside you as a supportive partner and collaborator in your journey.
I primarily work with adults (mid twenties to mid forties.). Some areas of professional interest include: life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, grief/loss, and depression. I work with many young professionals, as well as students enrolled in graduate and post-graduate training programs.
Much of what I do with clients can be understood as traditional "talk therapy": using conversation within the therapeutic relationship as a means to bring about growth and healing. I practice therapy from an insight-oriented perspective, which, practically speaking, often involves me posing questions to promote thoughtful reflection and dialogue as you work towards understanding yourself and your experiences in meaningful ways.
When clinically indicated, I also utilize a few specific, highly-structured therapeutic modalities with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR Therapy.
Within our first few sessions together we will formulate a plan for how to best address your specific needs. This plan is flexible and can be modified as therapy progresses.
I look forward to hearing from you and exploring how we can partner together in working towards your goals.
