Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

If you’re in search of a mental health professional in Chicago, I’m glad you found my website.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of post-graudate experience, including the last 10 years as a mental health practitioner in private practice.

Maybe you were referred by another professional or a personal contact. Or maybe you stumbled onto this page by chance.

However you arrived, you are welcome here.

Whether you have experienced a recent traumatic event, grief surrounding the loss of a friend or loved one, or are noticing a pattern in your life of unhealthy relationships, reaching out for professional support can be a sign of strength as you work to process your experiences and figure out your goals for both the present and future. I'm ready to come alongside you as a supportive partner and collaborator in your journey.

The “who” and “what” of my work.

I provide psychotherapy to individual adult patients/clients who generally range in age from mid twenties to mid fifties. Some areas of professional interest include: trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, grief/loss, and depression. I work with a diverse range of individuals, including those within historically marginalized communities, and have provided support to many medical and mental health professionals, government agency workers, and their loved ones.

Some of what I do with clients can be understood as traditional "talk therapy": using conversation within the therapeutic relationship as a means to bring about growth and healing. I integrate a variety of therapeutic perspectives into my work and practice therapy from an insight-oriented perspective, which, practically speaking, often involves me posing questions to promote thoughtful reflection and dialogue as a person works toward understanding themselves and their experiences in meaningful and transformative ways.

EMDR therapy, a highly structured form of treatment with multiple applications, is a large part of my professional practice. I am an EMDRIA certified therapist, which means that I have completed training and consutlation in EMDR therapy, demonstrate proficiency in this modality and uphold an ongoing commitment to continuing education in this arena of mental health care. I also am an EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training, and, in this role, support other mental health clinicians by offering clinical case consultation services surrounding the use of EMDR therapy. I am passionate about continuing my education as an EMDR practitioner, and travel to conferences in order to learn from researchers and other clinicians (including most recently: EMDR HAP Annual Conference, Denver, CO, August 2025; EMDRIA Annual Conference, Anaheim, CA, September 2025.) More information about EMDR therapy can be found through the EMDR International Association website.

So, what’s next?

The first step in considering whether we may be a good fit in partnering together in your journey of wellness and growth is to reach out to schedule an initial phone screening. If we mutually determine that we could be a good fit for a provider and patient/client relationship, we will schedule an initial intake appointment. Wiithin our first few sessions together we will formulate a plan for how to best address your specific needs. This plan is flexible and can be modified as therapy progresses.

I look forward to hearing from you and exploring how we can partner together in working towards your goals.
